Call money rates remained in the range of 8.60 per cent to 9.25 per cent. Government security prices fell marginally by 5-10 paise on the eve of the Rs 4,000 crore auction of 14-year paper.
Call rates rose in the morning to 9.25 per cent, but later came down gradually to close in the range of 8.60 per cent to 8.70 per cent. A primary dealer said,
