Centurion Bank of Punjab has entered into an agreement with the India Post to provide foreign exchange services in Kolkata. |
The bank has been offering travel related foreign exchange services through its Foreign Exchange Services (FES) Division. |
India Post has a Full Fledged Money Changing (FFMC) license which authorizes the post offices to undertake money changing business. |
These services will be available in 31 Head Post Offices of 11 states. |
Speaking on the occasion Sudarshan Motwani, head of the foreign exchange services, said, "After the successful launch in Delhi we are delighted to launch the Foreign Exchange Services in Kolkata as a part of expanding the services nationally. Centurion Bank of Punjab has consistently enhanced its services to meet the varying needs of the customers and helping them access world-class products through Foreign Exchange Services Division. The India Post tie up is a pilot project by the Bank and we will determine the customer response to launch such bureaus in other parts of the country." |
