Citi beefs up India team, hires nine

Citigroup Global Markets today announced the appointment of nine persons to its equities team to strengthen its sales and execution platform.

Chief among the new appointees are Keshav Sanghi, who will be joining as managing director and deputy head of equities, India, and Richard Macfarlane as new head of India execution services.

The new additions will take the India equities team's strength to 25.

"India is a high priority market in the Asia-Pacific region and, with these new appointments, Citi is confident of continuing among the leading equities franchise in India supporting our clients' needs across the market," said Nikhil Nagle, managing director and head of equities, India.

 

Others include Vandana Luthra, who will be joining as managing director for India equity sales, and Chandra Sekaran, director, equity sales trading.
