Rating agency Crisil has posted a 35.32 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 13.07 crore for the financial year 2000-02 compared with Rs 9.66 crore in the previous fiscal.
Total income rose by 34.45 per cent to Rs 69.29 crore (Rs 51.54 crore), while total expenditure increased by 11.92 per cent Rs 33.16 crore (Rs 29.62 crore).
The rise in total income was mainly due to income from operations, which was up by 51.83 per cent to Rs 66.77 crore (Rs 43.97 crore). Other income and extraordinary income, however, dipped by 4.6 per cent and 84.45 per cent, respectively. Other income stood at Rs 1.61 crore (Rs 1.69 crore), while extraordinary income was at Rs 91.29 lakh (Rs 5.87 crore).
Staff costs increased by 23.54 per cent to Rs 15.39 crore (Rs 12.45 crore). A company release said:
