Dena Bank net drops 68% to Rs 22.92 cr

Dena Bank announced a 68.10 per cent dip in net profit to Rs 22.92 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2004 against Rs 71.85 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
 
The bank's total income fell by 18.28 per cent to Rs 477.78 crore against Rs 584.67 crore. The bank's second public issue, which closed on Saturday, was 11.75 times over-subscribed. The issue collected Rs 2,540 crore.
 
The retail segment was over-subscribed 13.7 times and the portion kept for overseas investors was over-subscribed 7.7 times. On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) the bank's scrip ended up 5.24 per cent at Rs 35.15 against its previous close of Rs 33.40.
