Thrissur-based Dhanlaxmi Bank will enhance the number of employees to 3,800 during the current financial year.
Manishkumar, head, human resources and corporate social responsibility, said in the current financial year the bank would recruit 500 people. The recruitment will be in three levels — entry level, middle and senior management levels.
During 2009-10, the bank re-recruited 2,500 people taking the total staff strength to 3,300. It opened 66 new branches during the period taking the branch network to 273 with a pan India presence.
Manishkumar said the bank had no plans to open new branches in the current fiscal year. Instead, it has decided to have a sizable presence in new business areas like retail asset business and fee-based income vertical.
He added that the bank had introduced new Performance Management System (PMS) for the employees based on a balance score card.
