Federal Bank Q2 net up 20% at Rs 114cr

Federal Bank today reported a 20 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 114.28 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 when compared with Rs 95.33 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Turnover of the bank, jumped by 39.32% to Rs 828.10 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal as compared to Rs 594.37 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal.

For the first half ended September 30, 2008 net profit stood at Rs 182.43 crore as compared to Rs 162.27 crore in the same period last year. The turnover of the bank was up at Rs 1573.22 crore from Rs 1149.59 crore.
