Federal Bank Q4 net up 30%

Federal Bank has reported a 30% rise in its net profit at Rs 29.86 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 23 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2004. Total income has decreased from Rs 387.61 crore in Q4-04 to Rs 347.95 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005.

The Bank has posted a 34% decline in net profit at Rs 90.09 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 136.30 crore in FY04. Total income has decreased from Rs 1490.29 crore in FY-04 to Rs 1403.01 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.

According to a release issued by Federal Bank to the BSE, the bank's consolidated net has dipped 34% to Rs 90.15 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 136.32 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004. Total income has decreased from Rs 1490.29 crore in FY-04 to Rs 1403.05 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.

The board of directors has recommended a dividend of 25% on equity shares, the release added.
