FIIs sell equities worth Rs 1,027 cr

Foreign Institutional Investors today sold equities worth Rs 1,027.30 cr, amid the Sensex losing 191 points today.     

FIIs invested in shares worth Rs 1,683.23 cr and offloaded stocks valued Rs 2,710.53 cr, resulting in a net sales of Rs 1,027.30 crore, as per provisional data available on the BSE.     

According to information available on Sebi website, FIIs offloaded equities worth Rs 1,178 cr on Friday.     

However, domestic institutional investors purchased stocks valued Rs 916.18 cr on the bourses.     
Among other categories, brokers invested Rs 55.29 cr in equities on behalf of their clients and retail investors.     
Meanwhile, non-resident Indian entities and proprietors purchased shares valued Rs 0.85 cr and 3.04 cr respectively.     

 

The Sensex settled at 8,509.56 points, down 191.51 points or 2.20%.
