Forex reserves decline $278mn to $145.28bn

Foreign exchange reserves declined $278 million to $145.277 billion for the week ended September 9, 2005 when compared with the previous week, according to the weekly supplement released by the RBI on Saturday.

Foreign currency assets dropped $269 million to $139.290 billion. Gold reserves and SDRs were unchanged at $4.535 billion and $4 million, respectively. The Reserve Tranche Position with the IMF was down $9 million at $1.448 billion.
