Forex reserves drop $6.84bn to $137.21bn

Foreign exchange reserves declined $6.844 billion to $137.206 billion on December 30, 2005 from $144.05 billion in the previous week, according to the weekly supplement released by the RBI today.

Foreign currency assets dropped $7.191 billion to $131.018 billion. While gold reserves moved up to $5.274 billion, SDRs were unchanged at $5 million.

The Reserve Tranche Position with the IMF was down $2 million at $909 million.
