India’s foreign exchange reserves fell $1.65 billion for the week ended December 5 to $314.66 billion, show Reserve Bank of India data released on Friday.
Foreign currency assets, a key component of reserves, fell $867.4 million to $289.95 billion. Gold reserves fell $753.2 million to $18.99 billion.
The special drawing rights fell $21.6 million to $4.21 billion, while the country’s reserve position with the International Monetary Fund was down $7.7 million to $1.51 billion.
