Forex reserves rise to $283.57 bn

For the week under review, Special Drawing Rights fell by $3.9 million to $4.4 billion

The country’s foreign exchange reserves rose $1.46 billion to $283.57 billion for the week ended November 15, show Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data released on Friday.

Foreign currency assets, a key component of reserves, rose $1.47 billion to $255.90 billion. Gold reserves for the week remained unchanged.

For the week under review, the Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) fell $3.9 million to $4.4 billion, while reserve position with the International Monetary Fund was down $2 million to $2.03 billion.
