Forex reserves up $1.74bn to $162.41bn

Foreign exchange reserves increased $1.736 billion to $162.413 billion for the week ended May 5, according to the weekly supplement released by the RBI today.

Foreign currency assets increased $1.731 billion to $155.329 billion. Gold reserves and SDRs were unchanged at $6.301 billion and $6 million, respectively.

The Reserve Tranche Position with the IMF increased $5 million to $777 million.
