Forex reserves up $1.9bn to $137.56bn

Foreign exchange reserves increased $1.901 billion to $137.559 billion for the week ended March 4, 2005, according to the weekly supplement released by the RBI on Saturday.

Foreign currency assets were up $1.917 billion to $131.761 billion. While gold reserves declined $14 million to $4.376 billion, SDRs were unchanged at $5 million. The Reserve Tranche Position with the IMF was down $2 million to $1.417 billion.
