Foreign exchange reserves increased $253 million to $141.457 billion for the week ended April 8, 2005 from $141.204 billion in the previous week, according to the weekly supplement released by the RBI today. Foreign currency assets increased $262 million to $135.524 billion. Gold reserves and SDRs were unchanged at $4.5 billion and $5 million, respectively. The Reserve Tranche Positon with the IMF declined $9 million to $1.428 billion. |
