Forex reserves zoom $1.77bn to $165.80bn

Foreign exchange reserves increased $1.772 billion to $165.795 billion for the week ended August 4, according to data released by RBI.

Foreign currency assets moved up $1.394 billion to $158.465 billion. While gold reserves increased $377 million to $6.557 billion, SDRs were unchanged at $7 million.

The Reserve Tranche Position with the IMF increased marginally to $766 million.
