Forex reserves zoom past $300bn

Foreign exchange reserves moved above the $300-billion mark to touch $301.235 billion for the week ended February 29 - an increase of $6.625 billion from the previous week, according to data released by RBI today.

Foreign currency assets increased $6.261 billion to $291.250 billion. Gold reserves increased $359 million to $9.558 billion.

Reserve Position in the IMF was up $5 million to $427 million.
