FTIL arm looks to tie up with banks

National Bulk Handling Corporation(NBHC), the warehouse arm of Financial Technologies (India) Ltd, plans to tie up with 11 more banks by the end of the year.

The company’s managing director & CEO Anil K Choudhary said, “ We are currently working with 29 banks and plan to rope in more banks for collateral management services. We have plans to work with 40 banks by the end of this fiscal year.”

NBHC is a national level end-to-end solution provider in warehousing, bulk handling, procurement, grading and inspectionand has 381 warehouses on lease and franchises-owned basis with an overall storage capacity of 1.3 million metric tonnes.

 

Besides, the company plans to add about 1.5 million metric tonnes to the existing capacity of 1.3 million metric tonnes on lease and franchise-owned basis by 2009-10.

Buoyed by the response, the company is contemplating to develop 350 own modern warehouses across India having capacity varying from 15,000 metric tonnes to 25,000 tonnes each.
