Gruh Finance Ltd, a subsidiary of HDFC Ltd has registered 30 per cent increased in the net profit at Rs 64.77 crores for the quarter ended on December 31, 2011 over Rs 49.91 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The company announced the quarterly financial results after the meeting of the board of directors held in Mumbai on January 12, 2012.
The housing loan portfolio witnessed a growth of 28 per cent amounting to Rs 3761.31 crores as at December 31, 2011 against Rs 2936.63 crores in the previous year. Loan disbursements during the year were Rs 1001.19 crores as against Rs 842.85 crores in the previous year, showing a growth of 19 per cent, the company informed in a statement issued on Thursday. Cumulative loan disbursements as of December 31, 2011 were Rs 6857.06 crores, it added. The gross NPA of the company as on December 31, 2011 stood at Rs 36.66 crores or 0.98 per cent of the total loan portfolio of Rs 3761.31 crores.
