HDFC Bank FY07 consolidated net up 30%

HDFC Bank today posted a 30.55% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,150.96 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 (FY07) as compared to Rs 881.56 crore in FY06. Total income in FY07 also grew to Rs 8,464.52 crore from Rs 5,630.92 crore last fiscal.

On a standalone basis, the bank reported a 31% increase in net profit at Rs 1,141.450 crore for FY07 as against Rs 870.78 crore in FY06. During the fiscal, total income saw a jump to Rs 8,405.25 crore from Rs 5,599.32 crore in FY06, according to the release issued by the bank to BSE.

For its fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007 (Q4FY07), the bank posted a 30.5% increase in net profit at Rs 343.57 crore as compared to Rs 263.21 crore in Q4FY06. Total income for the quarter also saw an increase at Rs 2,384.19 crore from Rs 1,682.65 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
