The corporation has recorded a 21.85 per cent rise in net profit for the six months ended September 30 to Rs 371 crore, up from Rs 304.45 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The HDFC scrip closed on the Bombay Stock Exchange at Rs 532.75, down 1.24 per cent. The scrip of Gruh Finance, where HDFC has a 61 per cent stake, rose 20 per cent to Rs 34.40 on the Bombay Stock Exchange. HDFC Chairman Deepak Parekh said HDFC was not looking at a merger with its subsidiary.
