ICICI Bank m-cap breaches Rs 2 lakh crore-mark

ICICI Bank is the country's ninth-largest listed entity and third-largest bank in terms of market value

The market capitalisation of private sector lender ICICI Bank crossed the Rs 2 lakh crore-mark on Monday. The shares gained about two per cent to Rs 1,773, giving it a market capitalisation of Rs 2.05 lakh-crore. It is the country’s ninth-largest listed entity and the third largest bank in terms of market value.
 

Tata Consultancy Services, with a market cap of Rs 5.19 lakh crore, is the country’s largest listed company.

State Bank of India, with a market cap of Rs 2.3 lakh crore, and HDFC Bank, with a market cap of Rs 2.28 lakh crore, are the biggest lenders in terms of market value. Banks have had a spectacular run at the bourses in 2014.

Shares of ICICI Bank have gained 60 per cent so far in 2014.
