Indian appointed MD of Bahrain exchange

The Bahrain Financial Exchange (BFX), the first Multi-Asset exchange in West Asia and North Africa, has appointed an Indian national, Arshad Khan, as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

Khan will be responsible for the strategic direction of the business as well as ensuring that the BFX meets its objective of being the leading multi asset exchange in the region.

Khan is an exchange professional with a career focusing on the development of exchanges in the emerging markets.

He was the head of communications with the Financial Technologies Group and was responsible for setting up of the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) in the UAE.
