State-owned Indian Bank today introduced a special health card for its customers in the city on a pilot-basis, in collaboration with Apollo Hospitals Group.
The city-headquartered bank's customers who maintain Rs 10 lakh in their accounts for at least two to three months before December 31, 2014 are eligible for the health card.
"There are over 41,376 eligible in Chennai city alone and over 5 lakh eligible customers in the country. We have started the card on a pilot-basis in Chennai now. In the next six months, eligible customers across the country will be covered," bank's Chairman and Managing Director T M Bhasin told reporters here.

"We are talking with an insurance company to attach their services to the card so that in the future our customers shall go cashless to the hospital," Bhasin added.
Bank's Executive Director B Rajkumar was also present during the launch.
