Indus Finance Conclave 'banks' on private banking sector

Despite its growing challenges, banking sector, especially the private players are some of the best choices for career, concluded experts at 'Indus Finance Conclave 2011'.

Organised by the Department of Management, Indus Institute of Technology and Engineering, the 'Indus Finance Conclave 2011' looked at various trend in the financial sector in the current times. "The financial imbroglio of current times in terms of recessionary trends, euro zone collapse and ever increasing inflation rates provide motive behind conducting the Finance Conclave 2011. The conclave is aimed at providing the platform for addressing current and emerging issues faced by the global arena," said a student co-ordinator of the conclave at the Indus Institute of Technology and Engineering.

 

With an aim to exploit different financial opportunities in the contemporary market, the conclave saw speakers and eminent personalities from micro finance, small and medium enterprises finance, forex experts, private bankers and representatives from the non-banking financial company (NBFC) sectors. "The event was supposed to give deep insight into the present and upcoming advancement taking shape in the global economy. Which is why, major topics like capital market, forex market, commodity market, banking, financial planning and career in financial services were highlighted during the conclave. The event was also meant to juxtapose the professionals and students so that the latter can share and seek insight of concepts in real time experiences," the student co-ordinator added.
