IndusInd ties up with Atos for POS acquiring services

IndusInd Bank Ltd has signed an agreement with Atos Worldline India for point of sales (POS) acquiring solutions.

Under this agreement, Atos will be setting up MasterCard and VISA POS acquiring network for IndusInd Bank across India, a press release issued here stated.

Atos Worldline India will also establish a merchant establishment network by helping merchants open accounts with IndusInd Bank.

The bank will promote POS acquiring business amongst its existing customer base and newly acquired customers whereas Atos Worldline India will provide the necessary support to the merchants to encourage usage of POS terminals deployed at merchant establishments of IndusInd Bank, it said.

 

"Our entry into merchant acquiring business is yet another step towards creating a one-stop shop environment for our growing client base. The bank will use this service to drive customer loyalty and cards spend to the next level," IndusInd Bank Head (Consumer Banking) Sumant Kathpalia said.

"This alliance will definitely enable IndusInd Bank expand their service offerings to merchant customers," Atos Worldline India CEO Sameer Nemavarkar said.
