Karur Vysya Bank Ltd has posted a drop of 37.6 per cent in net profit for the quarter-ended September 30 at Rs 82.89 crore as against a net profit of Rs 132.75 crore in the same period the previous financial year.
Total income stood at Rs 1,378.89 crore, an increase of 22.72 per cent, from Rs 1,123.64 crore in the same period last year.
The gross non-performing asset (NPA) stood at Rs 494.8 crore, which is around 1.5 per cent, increasing from Rs 322.74 crore, which was 1.26 per cent. The net NPA was Rs 161.34 crore (0.51 per cent), as compared to Rs 80.17 crore (0.32 per cent) during the same period of the previous financial year.
