Karur Vysya Bank Limited (KVB) has reported a 51.33% growth in net profit of Rs 142.22 crore during the second quarter ended September 30, 2015 as against Rs 90.50 crore, a year ago.
Total income rose to Rs 1,570.27 crore from Rs 1,494.86 crore.
Bank's gross NPA rose to Rs 732.04 crore from Rs 470.74 crore, as percentage it was increased to 1.96% from 1.36%. Net NPA was Rs 354.52 crore as against Rs 207.59 crore.
Net interest income for the second quarter increased by 29.64% to Rs 437.42 crore from Rs 337.42 crore. Net interest margin improved from 2.67% to 3.39% as compared to the corresponding quarter last year.
