Kerala gets Rs 89cr Nabard aid

The Kerala office of Nabard has released Rs 89.06 crore to cooperative banks and regional rural banks in the state under the Centre’s Agricultural Debt Waiver and Debt Relief Scheme 2008 (ADWDRS).

This is the second instalment of the money being released by Nabard.

So far, Rs 831.21 crore has been released under the ADWDR scheme.

The second instalment includes an amount of Rs 55.64 crore to the Kerala State Cooperative Bank Limited, Rs 11.66 crore to the Kerala State Cooperative Agricultural and Rural Develpment Bank Ltd, Rs 12.01 crore to the North Malabar Gramin Bank and Rs 9.75 crore to the South Malabar Gramin Bank, a release stated.
