LIC Housing Finance has posted 26.7 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 134.33 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2008 as against Rs 106.02 crore for the corresponding period last year.
The total income for the reporting quarter rose to Rs 766.66 crore from Rs 549.95 crore, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange today.
Its interest expenditure shot up by 40 per cent to Rs 534.34 crore in October-December 2008 from Rs 381.74 crore in same period last year.
