LIC Housing Q4 net slumps 73%

LIC Housing Finance has reported a 73% slump in its fourth quarter net profit at Rs 14.17 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 52.31 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2004. Total income has increased from Rs 250.67 crore in Q4-04 to Rs 274.57 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005.

The company has reported a 14% dip in net profit at Rs 143.72 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 167.47 crore in FY04. Total income has increased from Rs 985.37 crore in FY-04 to Rs 1048.27 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.

The company's consolidated net has declined 13.54% to Rs 146.22 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 169.12 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004. Total Income has increased from Rs 984.61 crore in FY-04 to Rs 1047.32 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.

According to a release issued by LIC Housing Finance to the BSE, the board has recommended a dividend of 50%.
