Yields on gilts eased slightly in late trade as investors picked up high-yielding medium tenor securities on a view that spreads would narrow.

The 10.95 per cent 2011 bond saw quite a few deals, which helped drag its yield down to 6.0031 per cent from 6.0289 per cent in the morning.

The yield on the 10-year benchmark, the 9.81 per cent 2013 bond, eased slightly to 5.8915 per cent from Tuesday
