  • Gilt prices continued to fall with most of the players selling.
  • Prices of long-term papers fell by 50 paise while medium tenor gilts witnessed a fall of 30-40 paise.
  • The ten-year benchmark 7.27 per cent 2013 closed around 5.14 per cent.
  • Call rates moved around 4/4.5 per cent.
  • While one-day repo was around Rs 13,500 crore, 14-day repo stood at Rs 1300 crore.

  • The spot rupee opened at 45.39/40 but crashed to a low of 45.60 before closing at 45.54/56.
  • Forward premiums went up but came off as exporters starting selling dollars. The six-month and one-year premiums closed at 0.19 per cent and 0.40 per cent, respectively.
  •  Outlook
     The spot rupee is expected to open at 45.53-58 against the US dollar on Tuesday.
