Max New York Life to expand in Gujarat

Insurer Max New York Life plans to strengthen its presence in Gujarat in the next one year, managing director and chief executive officer Anuroop Tony Singh said.

Max New York Life, a joint venture between Max India Ltd and New York Life, opened an office in Rajkot on Friday.

The company has 42 offices in 29 cities across the country. The Rajkot office, the fifth in Gujarat, is located in the Kalavad Road area. The company has two offices in Ahmedabad and one each in Surat and Vadodara.

"We will start operation in many cities in the state as Gujarat is a key market for us with great opportunities in the rural as well as the urban sectors," Singh said.

Director (agency distribution) Rajesh Sud said, "We will continue to play an important strategic role in the state."
