Yields on long-dated government papers eased, while those on medium-tenor papers stayed ranged.
The 7.46 per cent 15-year paper, which is to be auctioned (re-issued) on Wednesday, closed at a yield of 7.369 per cent after opening at 7.375 per cent. In intra-day trades, it touched a yield of 7.36 per cent.
A strong rally in the morning was followed by profit booking as players did not want to carry long positions ahead of Tuesday
