Nabard loan of Rs 265 crore for water projects

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has announced that it sanctioned a loan of Rs 264.74 crore for execution of the rural drinking water supply schemes in Madurai district, Tamil Nadu, under its Rural Infrastructure Development Fund. The total outlay for the schemes is Rs 311.46 crore, of which Rs 46.72 crore would be contributed by the state government. The schemes are expected to be compl-eted in three years from 2011-12 and would benefit a population of around 11.87 lakh, according to a Nabard announcement. The sche-mes include projects to be taken up by the Tamil Nadu Water and Drainage Board in various centres like Alanganallur, Palamedu, Singampunari, Melur, Kottampatti, Madurai East, Madurai West, Tiruman-galam, Tiruparankundram and Vadipatty taluks.

 

Redington to distribute a/v eqpt

Redington (India) Ltd has been appointed the distributor for audio and video conferencing products of Polycom Asia Pacific Pte Ltd for India and other SAARC countries expect Pakistan and Afghanistan. The company said in a statement that this partnership with Polycom would enable it to expand into a/v conferencing products.
