Nabard sanctions funds or rural projects in HP

Nabard has sanctioned Rs 20 crore to the Himachal Pradesh government for rural infrastructure projects in the hill state. “The present sanction is for the construction of three rural drinking water supply projects and four road and bridge projects,” said Nabard Chief General Manager A D Ratnoo.

The three Rural Development Welfare Society (RDWS) projects, worth Rs 85 million, are located in Kangra and Una districts while the roads and bridges projects are in Kangra, Solan, Mandi and Una districts.

“This takes the aggregate sanction or rural infrastructure development in the state during the last one year to Rs 4,120 million,” he said.

 

With the above sanctions, Nabard has so far sanctioned Rs 31,030 million, under all tranches of Rural Infrastructure Development Fund to the state, of this, Rs 19,605 million has already been disbursed.
