Nabard on Tuesday sanctioned a loan of Rs 171 crore for rural infrastructure development fund(RIDF) to the government of Himachal Pradesh.
“This is for the construction of 17 rural drinking water supply projects, 17 minor irrigation projects, 48 road and four bridge projects,” a Nabard official said here on Tuesday .
This is the third sanction for the state in the current financial year. The cumulative sanctions now aggregate Rs 334 crore in this financial year.
For the rural drinking water supply projects an amount of Rs 12.81 crore has been sanctioned to benefit 66,969 residents of 264 villages in six districts.
The minor irrigation projects are flow, lift and rain water harvesting projects and will cover eight districts. The 48 road projects sanctioned fall in nine districts .
