New India Likely To Wrap Up Bancassurance Pact With Sbi

Non-life insurer New India Assurance has initiated talks with the State Bank of India (SBI) and its subsidiaries to enter into an arrangement to sell insurance policies through its 9,000 branches across the country.

New India executives said presentations have been made to SBI and a decision is expected soon. SBI is already distributing life insurance products of SBI Life, a 74:26 joint venture between India
