The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today said there is no change in its stance on inflation, which it has projected to be 5-5.5% this fiscal. "There is no change in our stance on inflation from what we had stated in our annual policy," Rakesh Mohan, deputy governor of RBI, who met Finance Ministry officials ahead of RBI's quarterly policy review on July 25, said here today. "You will know our view about inflation in our quarterly policy review," Mohan said. Inflation rose to 4.96% for the week ended July 1 as manufactured items like metals, chemicals and textiles, along with some non-food products, became costlier. |
