Oriental Bank of Commerce, Indian Bank and Corporation Bank (OIC Alliance) are likely to allow each others' customers to use their ATMs and branch networks from January. This means that an Indian Bank customer can withdraw cash from OBC or Corporation Bank's ATM network, and can also access their branches. "We have started testing the connectivity with each others ATMs and familiarising the branches about the new initiative for a smooth run," a senior official of the OIC alliance told PTI. The ATMs and branches will be opened to each others' customers by December-end, the official added. After entering into an alliance on November 17, the three banks are selling gold coins - the first initiative of OIC. The next step is sharing of ATMs and branches for providing payments solutions to their customers from a bigger platform. |
