PNB Gilts Q4 net loss widens to Rs 51.55 cr

PNB Gilts, a subsidiary of Punjab National Bank, today announced that its net loss has widened to Rs 51.55 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009, from Rs 6 crore in the year-ago period.

The company has posted a loss from operations of Rs 64.52 crore, while it had an income from operations at Rs 32.06 crore in the same quarter previous financial year.

The company's board of directors has proposed a final dividend of 8 per cent (Rs 0.80 per share, subject to shareholder's approval) for FY09. The company has approved the resignation of Arun Kaul from the directorship of the company with effect from April 22.
