PNB opens branch in Hong Kong

Public sector lender Punjab National Bank (PNB) has expanded its international operations with the opening of a new branch in Hong Kong, its Chairman and Managing Director K C Chakrabarty said here today.

The current economic scenario has not affected the international operations of the bank adversely and the bank is introducing new products to show confidence in the Indian banking system, he said.

Chakrabarty said the bank recently opened a second branch at Kowloon, Hong Kong. Besides, the bank has representative offices at Shanghai, Almaty, Dubai and Norway and a subsidiary in London.

He said the total business of the bank had crossed mark of Rs 3,50,000 crore.

 

Sharing the banks performance in Rajasthan, he said the total business has crossed Rs 13,800 crore.
