The Punjab National Bank will soon start the roll-out of Gen Next branches pan India to provide hi-tech banking to the youth in an ambience that best suits their needs and lifestyle.
These exclusive branches would be manned by young staff and equipped with modern amenities that appeal to the youth, such as internet zone, cafeteria, books corner and other gadgetry.
The first Gen Next branch will be launched in Lucknow next month, while similar branches would be opened up in the metros and other major cities.
“We are planning to open about 20 Gen Next branches in the current fiscal in all the places, where the youth is most tech savvy and upwardly mobile,” PNB executive director Usha Ananthasubramanian told Business Standard here.
She said either existing branches would be converted into Gen Next branches or new ones would be launched.
“To cater to different customer segments, we have planned to provide Traders’ lounge, HNI (High Net-worth Individual) lounge and Privilege lounge in our branches,” she informed.
