Rahul Gandhi inaugurates 10 SBI branches in Amethi

Now, SBI has 26 branches and 28 ATMs in Amethi, while bank caters far flung areas through its 33 Business Correspondents

Congress vice president and Member of Parliament from Amethi Rahul Gandhi today inaugurated 10 branches of State Bank of India (SBI) in his parliamentary constituency.

Now, SBI has 26 branches and 28 ATMs in Amethi, while the Bank caters far flung areas through its 33 Business Correspondents.

Meanwhile, Gandhi also distributed cheques to beneficiaries of 15 Self Help Groups (SHG) under Rajiv Gandhi Mahila Vikas Pariyojana and Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to farmers.

He noted the branches would play a vital role in the development of the region, while exhorting people to derive maximum benefits.

SBI Chief General Manager Sudhir Dubey apprised Gandhi of the various developmental work being done by SBI in Amethi.
 
In Amethi, the bank has financed 452 SHGs, of which 426 SHGs have been constituted under Rajiv Gandhi Mahila Vikas Pariyojana.
