RBI allows banks to offer foreign exchange quotes to users at all times

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday allowed banks to offer foreign exchange quotes to users at all times, out of their Indian books, either by a domestic sales team or through their overseas branches.

This was recommended by the Usha Thorat committee on bringing offshore derivatives trading onshore to India. The central bank has accepted the recommendation.
