RBI to auction treasury bills worth Rs 2,000cr

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will hold an auction for 364 day Government of India treasury bills for a notified amount of Rs 2,000 crore.

Out of the total of 2,000 crore, half of it will be auctioned under the regular auction calendar while the remaining Rs 1,000 crore will be auctioned under the market stabilisation scheme (MSS), the RBI said in a release.

The auction for which tenders have been invited till May 25 will be conducted using the multiple price auction method, and the results would be announced on the same day, it added.
