RBI to introduce second LAF

Y V Reddy, Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), said the central bank is planning to introduce a second liquidity adjustment facility (LAF) shortly to reduce frictional liquidity in the monetary system.

Speaking at BanCon 2005, Reddy said that there was no problem with structural or long-term liquidity.
