Forex market

Outlook:
The spot rupee is expected to open in the range of 44.86-92 to a dollar on Monday.

Sentiment: Volatile

The spot rupee opened at 4.96/98 , reached a low of 45.06/07, rose to 44.87/88 before closing at 44.90/91 to a dollar.

The annualised premium for six-month and one-year forward dollars closed at 2.03 per cent and 1.83 per cent, respectively.

Money market

Sentiment: Dull

The prices of government securities moved in a narrow range of 8-10 paise.

The yield on 10-year paper closed at 7.53 per cent .

The market was trading cautiously, anticipating the announcement of the government borrowing programme.

Call rates ruled at 7/7.10 per cent with the RBI absorbing around Rs 5100 crore from the market.

The government announced the reissue of 8.07 per cent 2017 paper, which will be auctioned on November 24.
